Good Child Foundation

The Good Child Foundation aims:-

  • To educate our students to the best standard possible to prepare them for university and life.

  • To provide a place for all children with Downs Syndrome in our catchment area to start school with us at 3 years of age, and stay with us until they are 18. We want to get the children into education and ensure they complete their school career.

Without the help of The Good Child Foundation a family with a child who has Downs Syndrome in our area would face two choices:-

  • Keep their child at home. This is a tremendous financial burden on a poverty stricken family where everyone in the family is expected to work to keep the family going.

  • The child is sent away from the family to a home for mentally handicapped children.

All these children need is the chance to go to a mainstream school and use the stimulation of the school environment to develop and thrive.
